The stories and beliefs of the members of Off to the Races: the racial healing group of Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center on the west side of Chicago.

An experimental study on the primordial experience of agriculture. Shot on Arriflex 16S. Stripped of celluloid and buried, re-scanned with organic material grown onto film.

I'm a historian and critic of modern and contemporary art, film, and visual culture, with my research focusing on how the natural world has influenced artmaking in unconventional and under-considered ways.

Curatorial Work

I curated the exhibition Undercurrents at the Marta Czok Fondazione in Venice, Italy. The exhibition brought together artists from across the globe to respond to the unique ecological, historical, and political positioning of the Venetian Lagoon. I also edited the catalogue of the exhibition, available for order.
